The 30-day Flight | Dustin Curtis

When I heard that JetBlue was offering a pass for unlimited flights during September, I wondered if it would be theoretically possible to buy it and visit all 43 JetBlue-served cities. After looking over some flight schedules with a friend, we discovered that it might be possible, with more than 83 flight segments. The ridiculous question slowly became a real challenge, and we made the insane decision to buy the passes and test our theory.

We’ll be documenting the trip at 30dayflight.com. There are still some unanswered questions, though: I’m not sure when we’ll have time to shower or sleep, or what we’ll do if a flight is cancelled or delayed. The best I can hope for is an entertaining, although definitely bizarre, month.

Some information about our trip

  • More than 83 flight segments will probably be needed
  • The first flight departs JFK at 10:35PM on September 8th
  • The final flight arrives at JFK on October 8th
  • There are at least 22 visits to JFK, mostly for connections
  • I have no idea what to do if a flight is delayed or cancelled
  • The pass is valid from September 8th to October 8th (learn more here)

Starting September 7th, you’ll be able to watch the journey at 30dayflight.com.
