NewsWhip mines Twitter and Facebook to find hottest news right now
The news curation and aggregation business keeps getting hotter. So far, I do most of my news consumption on my iPad, where I curate stuff that goes into my tumblr and twitter feeds. Zite is my app of choice for this - even with its quirks (could they just stop messing with the email subject length?)
Useful tools (to me) need to offer solid iPad integration, personalization, serendipity and ample sharing options. I’ve been able to work around some of these using tools like bufferapp and ifttt, but it still takes some tinkering and Internet duct-tape to pull off.
